Not All Injectables Are About Volume
When most people hear the word injectables, they immediately think of volume. But injectable treatments can do so much more than add volume or change the shape of the face.
At TFS, we look at injectables as a category of treatments that can support different aspects of facial structure, collagen, hydration and skin quality, and the right option depends entirely on what we're trying to achieve.
So, let's break down a few of the treatments you may hear us talk about in clinic.
HArmonyCa
Structure + collagen stimulation
HArmonyCa is a hybrid injectable that combines hyaluronic acid with calcium hydroxyapatite. It's designed to provide some immediate structural support while also stimulating collagen over time. For the right client, this can be an option when we're looking at changes in firmness, definition and facial support, without approaching the treatment as simply “adding filler.”
Lenisna
Collagen stimulation + skin quality
Lenisna sits in the bio-stimulator category, with a focus on stimulating your own collagen. Rather than being about creating obvious volume, the conversation is more about supporting firmness, elasticity and overall skin quality over time. It's particularly interesting when the goal is gradual improvement rather than an immediate change in appearance.
Skin Boosters
Hydration + skin quality
Skin boosters are a little different again. Rather than being used primarily to create structure, they're generally focused on improving aspects of hydration, texture, radiance and skin quality. Think less about changing the shape of your face and more about supporting how your skin looks and feels.
And this is where the consultation matters. There isn't one injectable that is “best”. Your skin, facial anatomy, goals, previous treatments and what we're actually trying to achieve all influence what we recommend. Sometimes that's a biostimulator. Sometimes it's a skin booster. Sometimes it's a structural treatment, and sometimes, it's no injectable at all.
If you've been curious about injectables but aren't sure what treatment actually makes sense for you, that's exactly what your consultation is for.
