Madilyn is the Founder of The Functional Skin Studio and Functional Skincare line.

Madilyn’s experience with her own problematic eczema prone skin, drove her to become a Paramedical Dermal Therapist, where she worked for a Cosmetic Doctor for five years. Madilyn is now a Registered Nurse with post grad studies in Integrative Medicine and Dermatology. Her primary role now is as a Registered Cosmetic Nurse running The Functional Skin Studio and Online store. At the Functional Skin Studio Madilyn utilises her injectable training and Dermal science knowledge to have her patients skin glowing from inside out and outside in.

Madilyn is currently only treating existing patients and preparing to take her Maternity leave from April 2024. Madilyn has hired NURSE KATHY to support her patients during this time.

Kathy is a highly experienced Registered Nurse and Midwife with over five years of nursing expertise. Specialising in cosmetic and dermal treatments, she brings a refined skill set and a passion for natural, realistic results to The Functional Skin Studio.

Kathy's journey into skin and aesthetics was inspired by her personal battle with adult acne, which deepened her understanding of holistic and integrative health. She holds a Graduate Diploma in Cosmetic Nursing and Injectables and is dedicated to delivering treatments that prioritise skin health while addressing underlying factors.

Kathy is known for her gentle and natural approach to cosmetic injectables, prioritising treatments that enhance her clients’ features rather than altering them. She combines her clinical expertise with an eye for subtle, balanced results, ensuring every treatment looks natural and refined. Kathy's philosophy is to help clients feel like the best version of themselves, promoting confidence through personalised, minimally invasive solutions.

Leiha Heap is a highly experienced Registered Nurse with over a decade of expertise in the field of cosmetic aesthetics. She has built her reputation working in prestigious clinics and high end medispas alongside some of the industry’s top doctors, refining her skills in advanced facial rejuvenation and non surgical treatments.

As a National Injector trainer, Leiha is at the forefront of cosmetic innovation, training other cosmetic nurses in the safest and most advanced techniques. Her deep understanding of facial anatomy and aesthetics allows her to deliver personalised treatments that enhance her clients’ natural beauty with precision and care.

Known for her warm, friendly, and approachable demeanor, Leiha takes the time to guide her patients in achieving a soft, natural aesthetic that complements their unique features.

Alisha is Cosmetic Nurse at Functional Skin Studio and for one of Australia’s leading Dermatology companies. This role affords her the daily opportunity to guide and mentor healthcare practitioners in the treatment and care of patients in the areas of dermatology and aesthetic medicine. She possesses a Bachelor of Nursing along with post graduate qualifications in Scheduled Medicines and Education.

Alisha understands the balance between art and science necessary to refine the individual beauty of her patients. You are in very skilled hands.

Paige is dedicated to holistic wellness in all areas of her life and provides a calming, nurturing facial experience. Her focus lies on lymphatic health & massage to help all skin conditions. Paige is passionate about enhancing the overall well-being of her clients' skin and guiding them on their journey to whole health.

Molly is our Full Time Clinic Manager at The Functional Skin Studio. Molly has managed health clinics for over 5 years and has always had a passion for helping clients on their holistic, wellness journey.

Her favourite part of managing the studio is being surrounded by the multifaceted team and seeing the clients post-treatment confidence they radiate.

Dr Alex has a Bachelor of Science (Medicine) Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery. He is a professional member of the Australian College of Aesthetic Medicine and travels Australia injecting in many prestigious clinics. We are so lucky to have him not only as one of our prescribing Drs, but treating Drs also. He has a gentle and conservative approach to ensure natural and subtle results.
