Meet The Founder

MADILYN- THE FUNCTIONAL NURSE

Registered Nurse, Injector and Skin Nurse.

I am Madilyn, The Functional Nurse and founder of The Functional Skin Studio and skincare line. I have a Bachelor of Nursing, Diploma in Beauty & Skin along with postgraduate Dermatology and Integrative Medicine studies.

I have spent years working under Cosmetic doctors and also worked in both gastrointestinal and orthopaedic wards in the hospital. Since I was a child I have endured my own skin battles, from eczema to keratosis pilaris and acne as teenager. I found the conventional treatment for my skin consisted of bandaid approaches through medicine and creams that only caused side effects and long term damage to my skin.

This sparked my interest and passion for holistic skin care and integrative Medicine to address the disease's root cause. I now take a more functional approach to skin and aesthetics ensuring the whole patient is treated and not just the exterior symptoms. Not only do I aim to have my patients glowing from the outside with Cosmetic injectables and skin treatments, but glowing from within with my Holistic health knowledge and allied health team.
