Immediately After Treatment
Expect heat, redness and a sunburn-like sensation for the first few hours.
Skin may feel warm or sensitive to touch.
Tiny “grid” marks or pinpoint dots are normal.
First 24–48 Hours
Keep the skin clean, dry and product-free unless your clinician has advised otherwise.
Avoid touching, scratching or picking the treated areas.
No makeup for 24–48 hours.
Avoid sweating, gyms, saunas, steam rooms and hot showers.
Stay out of direct sunlight.
Days 2–5
Mild swelling, tightness or bronzing can occur.
You may notice tiny micro-crusts forming, don’t pick them.
Introduce a gentle hydrating cream or soothing barrier product if approved by your clinician.
Keep SPF 50 on during the day (mineral is preferred).
Days 5–10
Skin gradually smooths and brightens as micro-crusts naturally shed.
Continue gentle skincare: cleanser, hydrator, SPF.
Avoid active ingredients (AHA/BHA, retinoids, benzoyl peroxide, vitamin C) until your skin specialist says you can return to your usual routine.
What to Avoid for 7–14 Days
Direct sunlight
Exfoliating products or scrubs
Active skincare (retinol, acids, vitamin C)
Heat, sweating and intense exercise
Swimming, spas and saunas
When to Seek Advice
If you notice unusual swelling, increasing discomfort, or signs of infection, contact your clinician.
