Why We Chose BioRePeel For Our Clinic
When most people hear the word peel, they think of one thing: peeling, irritation, and a compromised skin barrier. But not all peels work the same way. At The Functional Skin Studio, we’re intentional about the treatments we choose, especially when it comes to protecting the integrity of your skin.
A few years ago, while we were reviewing the treatments we offered, we found ourselves looking for something quite specific, a peel that could deliver results while still genuinely supporting the skin barrier. We kept coming back to the same question: does this support the skin long-term, or are we creating results at the expense of the barrier? That led us to introduce BioRePeel into the clinic.
Because it offered something different: results, without the level of disruption we were seeing in more traditional peels. This isn’t a peel that works by aggressively exfoliating the surface of the skin.
Instead, it uses a unique biphasic delivery system, meaning it has both an oil phase and a water phase. When activated, this system allows key ingredients (like TCA, amino acids, and vitamins) to be delivered deeper into the skin, rather than just sitting on the surface.
What does that mean for your skin? It means we’re not relying on visible peeling or trauma to create change.
We’re supporting:
– cell turnover
– collagen stimulation
– skin clarity and congestion
– overall skin function
All while maintaining the skin barrier.
For many clients, this looks like clearer skin, smoother texture, less congestion and a healthy, consistent glow without the downtime typically associated with peels.
If you’ve avoided peels in the past, or felt like your skin didn’t respond well to them, this is a completely different approach.
And if you want to understand more about the treatment pre and post care information, Nurse Kathy has explained it in more detail in her latest video.
